Career Summary

Diverse experience in the Manufacturing, Mining and Chemical industries as a leader that can build and maintain an agile engineering and fabrication organization.  Developed an engineering infrastructure that supports a number of satellite chemical plants within a $2 billion per year sales corporation.  This consisted of creating a maintenance management system, a purchasing, receiving, stocking system, and project tracking system.  Built a team of engineers of which some also became licensed.  Lead an Engineering and Maintenance Operation in the mining industry that focused on lean personnel and equipment efficiency.

  • Leading a Design and Fabrication Group to build portable chemical make-down systems in the Oil and Gas Industry under very stringent US and Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Standards.  Units are currently being fabricated for all of North America.
  • Assembled a Chemical Make-down Equipment Engineering and Fabrication Facility.
  • Put in place an Inventory System, Purchasing System and Receiving System.
  • Created procedures for the Fabrication Facility to become ISO 9002-2000 certified.  Recertified as ISO 9001:2008
  • Lead Electrical Fabrication Facility to be CSA approved for Canadian fabrication requirements
  • Lead Mechanical Fabrication to construct to ASME B31.3 piping standard
  • Total responsibility of sales, purchasing, fabrication of the Equipment Division of SNF Holding Co. Inc. >$20MM
  • Developed a line of self contained mobile dry Friction Reducer make-down systems for the Oil and Gas Industry for Fracturing.
  • Modified existing mixing equipment (PSU) to make-down high concentrations of both standard size polymer (750µ dia.) and fine powder (< 200µ dia.)
  • Equipped a semi-trailer to be self contained applicable to the well site.
  • Developed a self-contained dry polymer make-down system for the Wastewater Industry.
    • Concentrations up to 4%
    • 20,000 lbs. capacity of cationic polyacrimide on board
    • Direct billing originating from the trailer to the customer using telemetry.

Director of Engineering  (30 employees & 100+ Contractors)

  • Implemented and maintain a CMMS for a large chemical manufacturer.
  • Implemented and maintain a purchasing and receiving system to control $30MM annual capital and expensed projects
  • Hire the engineers, technicians, and designers required to maintain the engineering and fabrication operation.
  • Manage the engineering operation of a multi facility engineering company (sustained 10 –15 % annual growth)
  • Manage the design, fabrication, and installation of application equipment sold to the end users of the chemical producers    ($2MM+ annual sales)
